Duas versões de imagem para a mesma voz e canção. Por duas razões: primeiro porque o YouTube existe (e felizmente abre à partilha bem mais do que os videos tolos que disputam recordes no top dos mais populares e fazem o delírio dos que se ficam logo pela homepage) ; segundo porque gosto imensamente de ambas, e não me apetece prescindir de nenhuma.
A 1ª versão é uma pérola rara: integra shots do vídeo original de "Ten Summoner's Tales", já muito difícil de encontrar. Numa escuta atenta percebe-se claramente que o solo de harmónica é diferente e um pouco mais longo. Nela, gosto dessa planura dos campos abertos, apesar das névoas e neblinas. A outra versão vale pelo deslize da dança sobre um chão de gelo, pelos nocturnos de floresta e, sim, pelo perturbador olho da coruja e o poderoso efeito enfeitiçante dos sábios fixares.

Nota de rodapé - Ten Summoner's Tales é o 5º álbum a solo de Sting. Em 1993, quando foi lançado, o título intrigou-me o suficiente para querer saber um pouco mais. Não sei se Sting confirmaria ou não esta leitura, mas recordo-me que, na época, li que resultava da combinação do seu nome, Gordon Sumner, com o da personagem "Summoner", em Os Contos da Cantuária de Geoffrey Chaucer, o primeiro homem de letras a ser enterrado em Westminster, a abadia que abrigava as sepulturas reais inglesas, e a quem a história se refere frequentemente como o pai da Literatura Inglesa. Anyway!...
